homemade acne remedies that don't cost a fortune

Picture

Seems like my people were cursed with acne. I even carried it into my adulthood which sucks in all kinds of ways. Whenever I have a flair up (which comes about, oh, once a month), I use one of these three homeopathic remedies. The Teenager has sensitive skin, so we have to be really careful with what she uses. She responds really well to the oatmeal. I respond well to the corn starch. Remember, I am not a dermatologist or a certified anything. This is what works for us and I figured I'd share it with you. Peace, B.

baking soda
Add a few drops of water to a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Dab it on acne and leave for 5 minutes. Wipe away with a wet washcloth.

cornstarch and lemon juice  Make a simple paste using 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply to pimples and let dry for 5 minutes. Wash away with cool water.

oatmeal
Use a little cooked (cooled!) oatmeal on patches of skin where a break out is happening. Cover with a warm water compress and let sit for 15 minutes. Repeat everyday until acne is gone.
